Element has an opportunity for an Senior Engineer to join our expanding team. As a member of the operations team, the senior engineer position manages a variety of routine and non-routine testing projects within the department assigned and insures timely and accurate test results under minimal direct supervision. The senior engineer position must be proficient in a number of core business and technical skills including but not limited to compliance to established safety rules, code of conduct, and company policies and procedures.Salary: $70,000 - $120,000/yr DOEManage the entirety of multiple biomechanical testing programsProvide technical and engineering leadership, and supports the development ofnew technologieswithin a local laboratoryBe accountable foraccurateandtimelyrelease of testing data to customers includingsign-offsof quality control data as acceptableBe expected to obtain guidance in non-routine situation testingHave the ability tooversee standard and/or routine technicalproblem solvingactivitiesInteract with customers on technical issues and questionsProvide Input and support on business development opportunities with new or existing customersBe confident in making both formal and informal presentations on conventional and/or routine testing to a wide range of stakeholdersAssistin the professional development of novice technicians and engineers within the local laboratoryCarry out crucialexaminationand implementation of testing concepts and dataUtilize an assortment of skill, methods,proceduresand materials in advanced testing analysisBe adept at drawing on internal knowledge as well as industry and/or academic resources in reaching testing conclusionsWorking knowledge of laboratory safetyPossessa high levelofexpertiserelated to scope, core theories, concepts,terminologiesand boundaries of chosen engineering disciplinePossess aBachelorsof Sciencedegree in an Engineering disciplineHave a minimum of4years’ pertinent post degree engineering experience, or advanced academic/professional qualificationsIn-depth understanding of testing conceptsCan analyze and compiles testing data from the tests performedFamiliar with ASTM testing StandardsFamiliar with orthopedic implants and surgical proceduresAble tooperatea variety of mechanical test machinesFluent withSolidworksor other CAD softwareElement is one of the fastest growing testing, inspection and certification businesses in the world.
