Rope Access NDT Technician

Acuren is seeking a Rope Access I for operations in Lima, OH.THIS WILL BE AN EMBEDDED FULL-TIME POSITION.The Rope Access Tech I is an entry-level position, responsible for carrying out duties and responsibilities in a safe and timely manner as assigned under the supervision of higher-level rope access technicians.Perform specific job functions per the direction of the Rope Access Supervisor or a Level II/III Rope Access TechnicianInspect and validate rope access equipment and systems for safety and compliance prior to use.Assist in preparing and setting up rope access equipment and systems as directed by the Lead RATIdentify potential worksite hazards and promptly report unsafe conditions to the Rope Access Level III/ SupervisorRecord results of inspections as directed by the Lead RATSafely ascend, descend, and maneuver on ropes using standard rope access techniques.Assist in basic rescue operations under the supervision of higher-level rope access techniciansMaintain current certifications and training records in compliance with IRATA or SPRAT requirementsAssist other technicians as requiredOther work duties as assigned.KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES: Physical capability to perform strenuous work at heightsAbility to follow directions and proceduresDemonstrates a strong willingness to learn and grow, with a collaborative, team-oriented mindsetPhysically and mentally fit with a strong mechanical aptitudeStrong awareness of safety and quality standardsStrong work ethic and dependableExcellent communication and teamwork skillsAbility to regularly work overtimeAdaptable to changing schedules with willingness to travel regularly, including last minute and overnight travel Must have valid driver’s license Must be 18 years of age or olderEDUCATION: IRATA/SPRAT Level 1 Certification required including proficiency in theoretical knowledge, equipment and rigging, maneuvers, climbing and rescue/haulingHigh School Diploma or equivalentSome college preferred Competitive SalaryMedical, dental, and supplemental insurance401K PlanPaid HolidaysPaid Time OffExtreme cold and extreme heat environmental conditions, in and near hazards to include proximity to moving mechanical parts, moving vehicles, electrical current, working on scaffolding and high places in excess of 100 feet, exposure to high heat, extreme cold, or exposure to chemicals, in conditions that affect the respiratory system or the skin such as fumes, odors, dust, mists, gases, or poor ventilation. Ability to lift and carry up to 30 pounds regularly, 60+ pounds on occasion Frequent mobility is required in close quarters, crawl spaces, shafts, small, enclosed rooms, line pipes, and other areas that could cause claustrophobiaWithstand loud noise and able to work long workdays of up to 16 consecutive hours in one day.
