Job SummaryThe Supervisor of RCM will supervise and coordinate the staff’s daily operations. This role will have the overall responsibility for mentoring and developing skills of direct reports. The Supervisor will participate in evaluation and implementing quality control and performance improvement activities.Essential Job Duties and ResponsibilitiesPromote department goals by motivating, coaching, and training team membersTrain new employees on department policies, procedures, processes, and applicable information systemsPlan and prioritize schedules, assign, and monitor work to optimize operationsRoutinely evaluate staff performance, audit work, work output to ensure compliance with expectations and processesInform staff of changes in policies, procedures, processes and systemsRecommend procedural and system changes to improve processes, operational quality, and efficiency I.e., job aids, training resources and workflowCollaborate with upper-level management to provide updates of findings and outcomesActively participate and monitor process development and improvementMaintain attendance payroll records and a timely processing of employee time off requestHandle escalated issues and concernsComplete and monitor special projectsOther duties as assignedEducation and/or ExperienceHigh School degree or equivalent requiredMinimum 3-years of medical billing and collection experienceMinimum of 1-year supervisory experience with more than five peopleSkills/Specialized KnowledgeKnowledge of CPT, and ICD-10Knowledge of legal and regulatory government provisionsKnowledge of laws that regulate communications and privacy act HIPAA laws and understands the application of all aboveStrong computer skills including Microsoft Office and a strong proficiency in excel spreadsheets using formulas, pivot tables, filters, etc.Strong organizational analytical and problem solving skillsKnowledge of insurance industryProven success in negotiation and technical writing professionalism in dealing with both internal and external customersAbility to clearly communicate both verbally and in writingKnowledge of medical terminologyExperience with MS Office applications including Word, Excel, Access, Outlook, PowerBIOther RequirementsMust maintain professional appearanceAbility to be at work at regular and consistent timesPhysical and Mental DemandsThis position will spend long hours sitting and using office equipment and computers. The position may also entail light lifting of supplies and materials occasionally, up to and including 20 pounds in addition to reaching, stooping, standing, and walking. This position requires the ability to talk, hear, compare, compute, compile, copy, analyze, coordinate, synthesize, negotiate and communicate.
