Signet Health is hiring for a PRN Mental Health Technician for our program at St. Joseph Health Burleson Hospital in Caldwell, TX.Note that this isNOT a remote position. PRN does not offer benefits.The Mental Health Technician is a key position that provides direct patient care, transportation services, monitors patients' physical and emotional needs, and administratively supports the psychiatric program. Essential Duties & Responsibilities: Provides patient transportation to and from the programAssists in maintaining medical recordsPerforms Admissions/Insurance Verification and BillingMonitors patient interactions and safetyProvides clerical supportAssists in patient data collectionProvides patient information as a member of the interdisciplinary teamAnswers the telephone, screens calls, takes messages, answers questions about the programProcesses mail and ordering program suppliesMarkets program with daily contactsHigh School Diploma or equivalent1+ years of work experience in a healthcare facility or personal care for senior adults preferredClean driving recordFamiliarity with medical and psychiatric terminologyProficient in EXCEL, and other Microsoft Office programsExcellent verbal/written communication and interpersonal skillsStrong verbal and non-verbal communication skills to provide targeted therapeutic interventions with patients.Ability to build positive and respectful rapport with patients, families and coworkers.Works well in a busy team environment
