Covenant Health is the only healthcare system in East Tennessee to be named a Forbes “Best Employer” seven times.Position Summary:The Financial Analytics Director leads the strategic development and execution of analytics initiatives to optimize financial performance across the healthcare revenue cycle. This role oversees data governance, performance metrics, dashboard/report development, and analytics infrastructure. The Director collaborates with IT, compliance, and executive leadership to ensure data-driven decision-making and continuous improvement in revenue cycle operations.Direct analytics reporting and performance improvement across patient access, billing, coding, and collections.Supervise analytics team members, including recruitment, training, and performance management.Develop and maintain dashboards, reports, and data models to support financial operations.Ensure data governance, quality assurance, and compliance with privacy/security standards.Partner with IT to automate reporting and enhance data infrastructure.Provide strategic insights and recommendations to senior leadership.Promote data literacy and self-service analytics across departments.Follows policies, procedures, and safety standards. Completes required education assignments annually. Works toward achieving goals and objectives, and participates in quality improvement initiatives as requested.Performs other duties as assigned.Minimum Education: Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, Finance or related field required; Master’s degree preferred.Minimum Experience: Three (3) years in a leadership role overseeing analytics or financial operations required; five (5) years in healthcare revenue cycle management preferred. Proficiency in data analysis, financial modeling, and business intelligence tools (e.g., SQL, Tableau, Power BI, Excel) plus experience with KPIs across patient access, HIM, and PFS required.Licensure Requirement: None.
