Standard Paving and Concrete is growing in Maryland! We are looking for a driven Sales Estimator to help expand our footprint in the commercial paving and concrete market. This is a true new business development role designed for a sales professional who thrives on opening doors, building relationships, and closing deals.The Sales Estimator is the face of Standard Paving to clients, responsible for identifying opportunities, developing long-term partnerships, and guiding projects from signed contract through successful completion in close collaboration with internal operations teams.Proactively hunt and secure new commercial and industrial paving opportunities through networking, outreach, referrals, and market researchBuild and maintain strong relationships with property managers, general contractors, developers, and key decision-makersServe as the primary point of contact for clients from initial engagement through project completionQualify incoming opportunities and determine project fit in partnership with operations and leadershipConduct site walks and attend pre-construction or pre-project meetings to understand scope and client needsDevelop and present sales proposals and scopes of work (pricing and estimating handled by internal teams)Negotiate contracts and close deals that align with Alpha Paving’s capabilities and growth goalsMaintain an active and accurate sales pipeline, identifying new verticals and repeat business opportunitiesCollaborate closely with Project Managers, Operations, and field teams to ensure smooth handoffs after contract executionMonitor market activity, competitors, and upcoming projects to stay ahead of opportunitiesTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
