Job Summary and Qualifications As an RN Trauma Performance Improvement (PI) Coordinator, you will lead the Trauma Program’s work to keep care safe and high‑quality from the time a patient arrives until they leave the hospital. You will work with the Trauma Medical Director and Trauma Program Director to review cases, analyze system performance, and use data to make changes that improve patient care. Your role ensures care meets national ACS standards, supports program requirements, and shows our commitment to providing safe, reliable, and high‑quality trauma care. Your role will include: Reviewing and analyzingtrauma cases—both in real time and retrospectively—to assess quality, timeliness, adherence to guidelines, and alignment with ACS and state standardsIdentifyingandvalidatingperformance-improvement opportunities, adverse events, and system issues, and supporting action plans that drive measurable, closed-loop improvementsCoordinating and documentingTrauma PIPS activities, PI events, data elements, and registry information todemonstratecompliance and support trauma center verificationPreparing and presentingselected cases, trends, and quality findings for multidisciplinary PI, peer review, and trauma operations meetingsEducating and supportingclinical teams, residents, EMS agencies, and outlying facilities by sharing trauma PI principles, guidelines, and best practicesCollaborating and contributingto guideline development, research initiatives, verification preparation, and ongoing improvements across the trauma service line What qualifications you will need:Advanced Cardiac Life Spt must be obtained within 30 days of employment start dateBasic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start dateEmergency Nurse Pediatric Cour must be obtained within 30 days of employment start datePALS Pediatric Adv Life Supt must be obtained within 30 days of employment start dateTrauma Nursing Core Course must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date(RN) Registered NurseAssociate Degree, or Bachelors DegreeBenefits Doctors Hospital of Augusta, offers a total rewards package that supports the health, life, career and retirement of our colleagues.
