Duties: u00b7 Negotiates pricing and other terms of purchase under supervision. u00b7 Quotes materials; procures materials, components, equipment and services at the lowest cost consistent with consideration of quality, reliability of source and urgency of need. u00b7 Expedites and ensures the timely receipt of materials. u00b7 Works with engineering and MPM or SCM to recommend new suppliers. u00b7 Issues RFQs, analyzes proposals, negotiates prices and delivery, issues and/or adjusts purchase orders in a timely manner. u00b7 Follows-up on orders, verifies delivery, approves payment, and maintains necessary records. Negotiates vendor contracts, as appropriate. u00b7 Follows purchasing business processes. u00b7 Leads purchasing activities with manufacturing and engineering departments to maintain inventory at planned levels. u00b7 Leads problem resolution for material related accounting and receiving issues Qualifications: u00b7 3-5 years of experience. u00b7 Understanding of supply chain processes and purchasing strategies. u00b7 Knowledge of inventory management and logistics. u00b7 Familiarity with contract management and vendor relations. u00b7 Strong communication skills to collaborate with vendors, suppliers, and internal teams u00b7 Explains difficult or sensitive information; works to build consensus u00b7 Strong negotiation skills to secure favorable terms and pricing. u00b7 Excellent analytical skills to assess vendors and evaluate product quality and cost-effectiveness. u00b7 Proficiency in procurement software SAP/SCV/ARIBA u00b7 Strong organizational and time-management skills to handle multiple projects simultaneously. u00b7 Bacheloru2019s degree Required: Yes - A bachelor's degree in business administration, supply chain management, procurement, or a related field is typically preferred u00b7 Computer Skills: Required: procurement software SAP/SCV/ARIBA Click on apply now for immediate consideration for this Buyer in Austin, TX.
