Coil Winder - 2nd Shift

Eatonu2019s ES AMER ESS division is currently seeking a Coil Winder - 2nd Shift. The hourly rate for this position is $20.40 per hour. What youu2019ll do: Job Summary Use defined procedures/processes/specifications and computer-controlled coil winding machine to set-up, wind, and insulate primary and/or secondary transformer coils. Job Responsibilities u2022 Identify coil part numbers and quantities from the schedule/work order ticket, retrieve necessary small parts, and input part numbers on the computer-controlled coil winding machine during set up. u2022 Accurately interpret winding specifications. u2022 Set up coil winding machine following specifications on the setup screen, including mandrel size, duct parts, insulation tape type, etc. u2022 Install and adjust devices on the machine to meet window sizing specification, load strip, conductor, and insulation paper onto dereeling mechanisms. u2022 Measure materials, make adjustment, and verify alignment. u2022 Place and adjust coil form according to specifications. u2022 Activate the machine to feed materials and follow instructions on the run screen for various functions, winding coils at the specified rate per hour. u2022 Label coils with ID number, work order number, part number, and machine number. u2022 Utilize measuring devices including but not limited to hydraulic tools, hand tools, brazing, soldering, pliers, scissors, rubber hammer, ratchet, wrenches, and bending tools. u2022 Perform rework on damaged or defective coils to ensure quality standards. u2022 Weigh and log scrap metal in the database and follow proper disposal protocols. u2022 Oversee and enforce lockout/tagout (LOTO) protocols to guarantee the safe deactivation and isolation of equipment, ensuring energy control procedures are correctly applied to prevent inadvertent machine startup or hazardous energy discharge during repair or maintenance, in line with OSHA regulations and organizational safety guidelines. u2022 Safely operates overhead cranes and hoisting equipment to move materials, components, and finished products within the manufacturing facility. Qualifications: Basic Qualifications u2022 No education required Preferred Qualifications u2022 Relevant work experienced preferred. u2022 Previous experience in manufacturing preferred.
