Summary: Creative Audio is a centralized team that touches every product Meta produces, making our team integral to the company. We collaborate with product and creative teams across Meta to design audio for video, post-production audio, final mixing and mastering, audio field recording, sound effects, and large scale content projects across a wide range of software and hardware, including but not limited to your phone, glasses, VR headsets a mix of Augmented Reality/Mixed Reality across these devices. We're a team of over 60 audio experts who design the experiences that connect people through the power of sound.The Music Operations role is responsible for managing end-to-end operational processes for the Meta Music pillar within Creative Audio, ensuring that music and audio assets are accurately processed, compliant, and available across Meta platforms. This role partners closely with Product, Legal, Partnerships, Engineering, Data, and Operations teams to support seamless music experiences for businesses and creators while meeting Metau2019s business, reporting, and compliance needs. The role will lead music metadata, rights management, and operational workflows, building scalable processes that support a growing catalog and expanding product surface areas.. Required Skills: Music Operations Responsibilities: 1. Manage the intake, processing, and administration of music and audio assets to enable availability across Meta surfaces 2. Maintain operational service level agreements (SLAs), runbooks, and escalation paths for ingestion, availability, and catalog integrity issues 3. triage day-to-day issues to resolution 4. Manage music metadata quality and standards (e.g., DDEX/Digital Data Exchange) to ensure assets are accurately represented, discoverable, and reportable 5. Maintain internal asset management systems and drive remediation for metadata issues (e.g., missing/incorrect fields, duplicates, conflicts, catalog corrections) 6. Partner with internal teams including Product, Legal, Partnerships, Engineering, Data, and Operations to align on music availability, rights management, tooling requirements, and reporting needs 7. Translate operational requirements into scalable process and tooling improvements 8. identify root causes and drive durable fixes with cross-functional stakeholders 9. Lead ongoing management of music and audio suppliers, artists, and partners, including contract drafting support, sourcing support, and delivery tracking 10. Coordinate with internal teams to ensure vendor setup and operational readiness 11. Support operational reporting needs, including data reconciliation and tracking of content status, deliveries, and issues 12. Identify operational bottlenecks and propose scalable improvements to reduce manual work and improve turnaround times Minimum Qualifications: Minimum Qualifications: 13. 5+ years of experience in music operations, music publishing, rights management, label/publisher operations, or a related field 14. Experience managing music metadata standards and workflows (e.g., DDEX), including ensuring data quality at scale 15. Experience with licensing processes, contracts administration, and/or operational compliance requirements 16. Experience operating in cross-functional environments (e.g. Product, Legal, Engineering, Partnerships, Data) and managing multiple concurrent workstreams 17. Demonstrated experience communicating with stakeholders with differing priorities and perspectives, problem-solving and project management skills, and driving alignment and execution amid ambiguity and competing priorities Preferred Qualifications: Preferred Qualifications: 18. Experience using data analysis and reporting tools (e.g., SQL, Tableau) to drive operational decisions and measure workflow performance 19. Experience building scalable operational processes and supporting tooling/automation efforts 20.
