Manufacturing Engineer

Job Title: Manufacturing EngineerJob Description Join our dynamic engineering department, where we are evolving to create hybrid engineers skilled in both methods/operations and design. We seek a strong engineer capable of developing operation sheets and performing tooling design. This role primarily involves working with military parts, focusing on detailed specifications and manufacturing methods. Responsibilities + Review customer specifications. + Create assembly instructions and operation sheets. + Interface with quality assurance, request RFVs, and communicate with government for technical clarifications. + Collaborate with touch labor teams during first production runs. + Ensure proper documentation flows to the shop floor. Essential Skills + Experience in manufacturing engineering. + Process improvement expertise. + Proficiency in tooling and assembly instructions. + Knowledge of ERP systems. + Experience in creating operation sheets and assembly instructions. + Familiarity with contract take off for parts. + Experience in manufacturing methodizing for mechanical parts. + Understanding of continuous improvement practices. + Familiarity with AS9100 and ISO 9001 standards. + Background in aerospace and defense industries. Additional Skills & Qualifications + A degreed engineer is preferred; however, candidates with 10u201315 years of experience without a degree may be considered. + Minimum 5+ years of experience required (3 years acceptable if strong). + Strong understanding of manufacturing processes. + Tooling design experience is a plus. + Aerospace/Defense Background is strongly preferred. Work Environment This position requires 100% onsite work, Monday through Friday, with a flexible start time between 6:30 AM and 8:30 AM at manager's discretion. The culture is collaborative, within a privately owned company of approximately 100 employees located on Long Island. Our facilities include a 30,000 sq. ft. corporate headquarters and main manufacturing and engineering facility, and a 57,000 sq. ft. composites division with specialized equipment for large, close tolerance composite structures and bonded structures. Job Type & Location This is a Permanent position based out of Hauppauge, NY. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $90000.00 - $110000.00/yr.
