On Site Staff Pharmacist

Job Title: PharmacistJob Description We are seeking a skilled pharmacist to join our team, where you will play a critical role in ensuring the safe and accurate dispensing of medications. This position involves the review and management of prescription orders, compounding medications, and providing guidance and counseling to healthcare staff and physicians on medication therapy. Responsibilities + Review prescriptions issued by authorized prescribers to ensure accuracy and determine necessary formulas and ingredients. + Compound sterile and non-sterile medications using standard formulas and processes such as weighing, measuring, and mixing ingredients. + Direct pharmacy employees involved in mixing, packaging, labeling, and modifying prescription orders. + Ensure the accuracy of prescription order intake and the efficient fulfillment of orders. + Dispense medications and provide support and counseling to nursing facility staff on the use of prescription and over-the-counter medications. + Advise physicians about medication therapy. Essential Skills + Pharmacy experience, including retail and compounding. + Pharmacy License in the State of FL. + Bachelors Degree in Pharmacy from an accredited institution. + Strong interpersonal skills. + Excellent oral and written communication skills. + Leadership abilities to coordinate multiple associates and provide direction. + Strong knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Additional Skills & Qualifications + Attention to detail. + High volume retail experience preferred. + Long-term or closed-door pharmacy experience as a Pharmacist preferred. + Must be able to stand for the entire work period. Work Environment This position offers a 40-hour work week with the potential for overtime. You will be working the second shift from 2:30 PM to 11:00 PM, Sunday to Thursday. The role includes 2 weeks of training on the first shift from 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM. Our pharmacy environment is high-volume, providing a dynamic and engaging work setting. Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Oviedo, FL. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $61.00 - $63.00/hr.
