Job Title: Carpenter Foreman Job Description The Carpenter Foreman is responsible for ensuring that all work performed at the construction site runs smoothly, efficiently, and safely. This role requires travel to project sites and offices, and the candidate must be efficient, safety-minded, and have experience in the commercial construction industry. Responsibilities + Serve as the main point of contact between construction workers and project managers or office staff. + Supervise all construction workers and oversee the quality of the construction site. + Develop a work schedule for workers, assign tasks, and create schedules as needed. + Ensure strict adherence to safety, Quality Assurance/Quality Control (QA/QC), ethics, and compliance requirements at all times. + Perform setup and cleanup tasks at the job site, providing labor support as needed to ensure the project is completed on time and on budget. + Lift, carry, and hold building materials, lumber, tools, and supplies from transport vehicles to work areas. + Clean tools, equipment, materials, and work areas. Essential Skills + Proficient in construction, carpentry, blueprint reading, commercial construction, finish carpentry, power tools, and rough carpentry. + Demonstrated competence in running construction projects. + Deep understanding of construction principles and procedures. + Excellent time management skills and the ability to multitask and prioritize work. + Comfortable working in high-stress environments with extreme weather fluctuations. Additional Skills & Qualifications + High school diploma or GED preferred. + Must have a valid driver's license. + 5+ years of construction industry experience preferred. Why Work Here? Work Environment The work environment involves being on-site at the construction site, where exposure to moving mechanical parts, high precarious places, fumes or airborne particles, outside weather conditions, and risk of electrical shock is common. The noise level can range from moderate to high. Physical demands include climbing stairs and ladders, using construction personnel hoists, and negotiating work areas under construction. The employee may need to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds occasionally. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Blue Ash, OH.
