Job Title: CNC Lathe Machinist Job Description We are seeking a skilled CNC Lathe Machinist who will ensure the smooth operation and maintenance of CNC machines. The successful candidate will adhere to production schedules, interpret complex blueprints, and contribute to continuous improvement efforts within the organization. Responsibilities + Adhere to production schedules by studying work orders, blueprints, engineering plans, material specifications, locations, and machining parameters. + Effectively operate CNC machines by entering instructions, including zero and reference points, and setting tool registers and offsets. + Correctly set up CNC machines by programming, editing, installing, and adjusting tools and attachments with minimal assistance. + Safely load raw materials and verify settings by measuring positions, first-run parts, and sample workpieces. + Ensure part specifications by observing drilling, grooving, cutting, and taking measurements to identify malfunctions. + Continuously follow and adhere to all quality assurance procedures and processes. + Maintain equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements and troubleshooting malfunctions. + Educate and train other machinists on production, programming, troubleshooting, and maintenance policies. + Maintain continuity among work shifts by documenting and communicating actions, irregularities, and continuing needs. + Promote positive employee and customer relations by supporting a working environment of tolerance and acceptance. + Maintain regular, consistent, reliable, and punctual attendance. + Actively participate in problem resolution with constructive communication and effective resolution skills. + Cooperate and comply fully with all company policies and procedures. + Participate in company and department meetings, training activities, and continuing education programs. Essential Skills + High school diploma or GED. + 3+ years of CNC machining and setup experience. + Proficiency in reading blueprints and understanding GD&T. + Capability in editing programs and working with G&M codes. Additional Skills & Qualifications + Experience with P-code is a plus. + Familiarity with Twin Turret Lathe is advantageous. Why Work Here? Work Environment Work in a modern manufacturing environment with exposure to both natural and artificial light, ambient and controlled temperatures, and light to moderate airborne graphite dust. Personal Protective Equipment is required. Must be able to stand for long periods, lift up to 75 pounds occasionally, and communicate effectively in English. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $25.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your jobclassification and length of employment.
