Summary The VA Northeast Ohio Healthcare System is actively recruiting for a Supervisory Social Worker. The Supervisory Social Worker is responsible for social work practice in residential treatment clinical areas in the Mental Health Residential Recovery Treatment Program (MHRRTP) and Inpatient acute psychiatry beds at the Louis Stokes, Cleveland VAMC. The incumbent also provides direct clinical services in MHRRTP. Responsibilities The Supervisory Social Worker duties include, but are not limited to: Oversees compliance with and successful execution of Fidelity Performance Measures, assist with the Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities (CARF), OIG, Joint Commissions and any surveying preparations, assists with PATS-R Completions assist with tracking workload, Veterans Equitable Resource Allocation (VERA) capture, Veteran satisfaction, and general quality assurance. Supervises a group of employees performing work at various GS levels up to their own grade and provides administrative, technical, and clinical supervision necessary for accomplishing the work of the unit. Performs the administrative and personnel management function relative to staff supervised. Develops work improvement plans, recommending personnel actions as necessary. Performs a wide range of services and provides technical assistance to State, local, and private agencies, and universities. Performs work related to the review, monitoring, analysis, planning and assessment of various programs. Adheres to all VACO and Mental Health policies and practices for delivering clinical care, including but not limited to suicide risk reduction practices, timeliness of care and access standards, professional conduct requirements, and electronic health record documentation requirements. Provides biopsychosocial assessment, evaluation, and diagnostic services for Veterans with a broad range or psychopathology receiving care within the residential programs. Provides education to both patients and family members regarding relevant residential mental health concerns and VHA services. Provides comprehensive, evidence-based, psychotherapeutic interventions, including individual, family, and group psychotherapy and psychoeducation. Provides consultation to health care providers about assessment findings and treatment plan for patients to ensure health care is coordinated, collaborative, and integrated within the healthcare system. Documents events in direct contact with or about Veterans in Patient Records.
