School Nurse, LPN

Pediatric Therapeutic Services (PTS) is seeking a School Nurse to provide nursing services for a local school district. Such as, treatment sessions, documentation, meeting attendance, and report writing. + This is a 1099 Independent contracting position, allowing for greater flexibility. + PTS provides consistent on-site and off-site mentorship with Clinical Directors and Team Leaders. + School-Based Academy: We provide the support and community that a new School-Based therapist needs to feel comfortable and to be successful. + Lending Library: PTS recognizes the additional expenses in providing evaluation for materials. We have an extensive library of testing tools and assessments for therapist to borrow as needed. Responsibilities: + Provide school health nurse services and primary care services to students + Evaluate and treat individual physical conditions of students and refer to appropriate resources as needed + Conduct health assessments (history, screenings, findings) + Provide instruction in the maintenance of good health and disease prevention + Promote and assist in the control of communicable diseases + Interpret health status of students to parents and school personnel + Maintain student health data/files + Monitor compliance of school health program with federal, state, and local laws, regulations, and policies + Assist with mandated reports to the Pennsylvania Department of Education (PDE) Company Profile: Each year the number of students receiving related services under Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA) changes and grows.
