Job Summary: The Advanced Psychoeducation Specialist provides direct patient care under the guidance of a designated healthcare professional in accordance with federal, state, and local regulations, and within policies, procedures, and guidelines of Bon Secours Mercy Health (BSMH). Provide clinical and administrative supervision. Essential Functions: + Facilitates Psychoeducation groups and provides individual activities tailored to specific needs of patients. + May participate in family meetings and treatment team meetings. + Offers community resource knowledge and coordination of activities. + Completes assessments, care planning and discharge planning in collaboration with the Social Worker team. + Provide one-on-one (1:1) patient safety companion service and patient checks as needed. + Participates in continued education and in-service training. Education: + Masteru2019s degree in Occupational Therapy, Recreational Therapy, or Expressive Therapy (Music, Dance/Movement), Counseling, or Human Services (required) Licensing & Certifications: + Must be licensed, certified, or registered as appropriate by state and national licensing boards in one of the following (required) + Care Treatment and Rehabilitation Service (CTRS) + Board Certified Art Therapist (ATR-BC) + Therapy Credentialed Supervisor (ATCS) + Music Therapist-Board Certified (MT-BC) + Board Certified Dance/Movement Therapist (BC-DMT) + Occupational Therapist Licensed (OTR/L) Experience: + 1 year of experience in healthcare, social services or human services setting (required) Skills & Abilities: + De-escalation and Crisis Intervention + Debriefing and documentation + Motivational interviewing + Patient centered care and care planning + Performing medical and safety screenings + Working within an interdisciplinary team + Individual, family, and group psychotherapy + Mentoring and training of employees Participation in enterprise-wide workgroups As a Bon Secours Mercy Health associate, you're part of a Mission that matters.
