In addition to having a deep understanding of Milliman IntelliScript tools, knowledge of our clients products, challenges, and processes is needed to be able to effectively communicate, build trust, and guide clients in determining the most effective use of the tools to help accomplish their goals and reduce their pain points. The Senior Solutions Consultant needs to be a strategic thinker to craft messaging for clients and pivot as needed during discussions. In this external-facing role, the right person for our team will bring professional experience, a passion for leveraging data and complex analysis to solve the right business questions and a deep understanding of actuarial analysis.What youll be doingProvide subject matter expertise to clients in support of sales executives and client relationship managersDesign and deliver client proof of concept studies showcasing the value proposition of the tools.Develop and maintain connections to relevant industries (e.g., life insurance, Medicare Supplement) to continue to effectively understand issues facing clientsMaintain actuarial professionalism by providing a fair and balanced view to clients aligning with ASOP.Maintain a strong network of industry contacts.Participate in relevant industries through activities such as presentations at industry meetings, volunteering, etc.Lead and contribute to industry or actuarial discussions to support the development of Solutions Consulting team members and others at IntelliScript.Mentor members of the Solutions Consulting team.What we needBachelors degree in actuarial science, mathematics, or another major with quantitative course work10+ years of experience in the actuarial profession with Actuarial accreditation (e.g. ASA, FSA) in good standingProficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.Experience leading/participating in meetings that take place in person, virtually, as well as hybridWhat you bring to the tableExceptional communication skills: articulate and professional when speaking with clients as well as with colleagues, via all mediums (phone, email, video conferencing, etc.)Creative problem-solving skillsStrong technical and analytical skillsThrive in an entrepreneurial and collaborative cultureAbility to manage project priorities, deadlines, and deliverables independentlyExcellent attention to detail, organization, and time management skillsExperience successfully presenting challenging concepts to non-technical individualsExperienced and comfortable presenting in front of all levels in client organizations and to large industry groupsSeeks out peer review and input from others, able to absorb and learn from constructive criticismWorking knowledge of IntelliScript productsStrong executive presenceWish ListFellow in the Society of ActuariesIn-depth knowledge of IntelliScript productsPrevious experience in underwriting or underwriting innovationsExperience creating proof of concept studiesLife insurance, reinsurance, or consulting experience in product development or pricingSignificant experience working with clientsPublished thought leadership articles, past speaking engagements, etc.Experience influencing C-suite decision makersLocationThe expected application deadline for this job is May 31, 2026. This position is open to remote work. Applicants must be willing to travel to the Milliman office in Brookfield, WI as needed and travel nationwide for meetings, conferences, and team events up to pensationThe overall salary range for this role is $147,400 - $279,680. A combination of factors will be considered, including, but not limited to, education, relevant work experience, qualifications, skills, certifications, etc.For candidates residing in:Alaska, California, Connecticut, Illinois, Maryland, Massachusetts, New Jersey, New York City, Pennsylvania, Virginia, Washington, or the District of Columbia the range is $169,510 - $279,680.All other states the range is $147,400 - $243,200.A combination of factors will be considered, including, but not limited to, education, relevant work experience, qualifications, skills, certifications, etc.BenefitsWe offer a comprehensive benefits package designed to support employees health, financial security,and well-being.
