Description Weu2019re seeking a skilled Transmission Line Engineer to join our team in Georgia whou2019s ready to shape the reliability, safety, and modernization of the power grid. Work Location & Schedule This role must be based in Georgia, but offers flexibility based on business needs and may include: + Hybrid, remote, or regional fieldu2011based work depending on project requirements. + Site visits to transmission rightsu2011ofu2011way, construction zones, and project locations with appropriate PPE provided. + Occasional travel to client sites, project meetings, and field inspections across the region. How You Will Make an Impact + Develop PLSu2011CADD and PLSu2011Pole models for both new and existing transmission line designs; experience with PLSu2011Tower is a plus. + Conduct site visits for line inventory, hardu2011spot identification, and construction coordination. + Prepare existing line studies, project cost estimates, material and pole orders, construction bid packages, engineering drawings, and asu2011built documentation. + Collaborate with construction, environmental, real estate, permitting, and geotechnical teams; foundational design exposure is beneficial. + Build and maintain strong client and partner relationships through consistent and professional communication. + Provide technical guidance, perform design reviews, and support quality control across project deliverables. + Assist in proposal development, including cost estimating, scope definition, and scheduling contributions. + Work closely with other Power Delivery disciplines such as civil/structural, distribution, and substation engineering. What You'll Need to Be Successful Minimum Qualifications + Bacheloru2019s degree in Electrical, Civil, or Mechanical Engineering . + Proficiency with PLS software , including PLSu2011CADD. + Strong written and verbal communication skills with a proven commitment to safety and customer service. + Valid driveru2019s license and ability to enter transmission ROWs and construction sites with appropriate PPE. + Ability to pass a background check and drug screening. Preferred Experience + Minimum 3+ years of transmission line design engineering experience. + Prior utility experience, preferably with Southeastern U.S. utilities. + Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook); CAD/drafting experience is a plus. + Candidates with an E.I.T. or P.E. are encouraged to apply, though it is not required.
