Procurement Specialist

Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Procurement Specialist to join our team in Sleepy Eye, Minnesota. In this long-term contract position, you will play a key role in managing procurement processes, ensuring efficient purchasing strategies, and negotiating contracts to meet organizational goals. This role is ideal for someone with a strong background in corporate procurement and a commitment to streamlining purchasing operations. Responsibilities: u2022 Coordinate and oversee procurement activities to ensure timely and cost-effective purchasing. u2022 Manage purchase orders and verify compliance with company policies and standards. u2022 Collaborate with vendors and suppliers to establish and maintain strong business relationships. u2022 Negotiate contracts to secure favorable terms and pricing while minimizing risks. u2022 Monitor procurement functions to identify areas for improvement and implement solutions. u2022 Ensure adherence to buying processes and maintain accurate documentation. u2022 Evaluate supplier performance and recommend changes to enhance supply chain efficiency. u2022 Work closely with internal departments to align procurement strategies with organizational objectives. u2022 Conduct market research to identify potential suppliers and assess product availability.
