Experienced Electrician Job SummaryWe are seeking a skilled and safety-focused Experienced Electrician to install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair electrical systems in industrial and/or commercial environments. This role requires strong knowledge of electrical codes, schematics, and control systems, with the ability to work independently and support team operations during installations, shutdowns, and emergency repairs. Key Responsibilities Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems including power distribution, lighting, motors, VFDs, and control panels Read and interpret electrical schematics, one-lines, blueprints, and wiring diagrams Troubleshoot electrical failures using meters, test equipment, and systematic diagnostic methods Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on electrical equipment and systems Install and terminate conduit, cable tray, wire, and electrical components Troubleshoot motor controls, relays, contactors, starters, and PLC I/O (as applicable) Ensure all work complies with NEC, OSHA, and site-specific safety standards Support equipment installations, plant shutdowns, and commissioning activities Coordinate with maintenance, engineering, and operations personnel Maintain accurate documentation of work performed and materials used Mentor apprentices or less experienced electricians when required Required Qualifications Journeyman Electrician license or equivalent experience 5+ years of hands-on electrical experience in industrial or commercial settings Strong understanding of electrical theory and code compliance Proven ability to troubleshoot complex electrical issues under minimal supervision Experience with 120V-480V systems (higher voltages a plus) Ability to work from prints, schematics, and technical documentation Familiarity with lockout/tagout (LOTO) procedures and safe work practices Preferred Skills PLC troubleshooting experience (Allen-Bradley, Siemens, etc.) Experience with VFDs, MCCs, and industrial motor controls Shutdown, turnaround, or heavy maintenance experience Welding, fabrication, or mechanical aptitude a plus Physical & Work Requirements Ability to work in industrial environments, including heights and confined spaces Ability to lift up to 50 lbs Willingness to work overtime, nights, or weekends as required
