Summary The St. Louis VA Health Care System is seeking a Clinical Pharmacist (Clinic Support) to perform inpatient pharmaceutical services, and outpatient prescription counseling and dispensing services. Responsibilities Major Duties Performed Handles routine medication-related activities Makes recommendations to clinical staff regarding medication therapy Performs medication reconciliation Accurately fills or checks medication dispensing units, prescriptions, and aseptically prepared intravenous admixtures and other aseptically prepared pharmaceuticals Utilizes VISTA and CPRS for order entry and completion Documents all patient medication teaching sessions and consults in the patient record Provides quality control analysis for dispensing activities of automated dispensing equipment and pharmacy technicians Assumes active role in the overall pharmacy-training program Acts as a preceptor or mentor for pharmacy student and resident rotations Work Schedule: Full-Time, Rotating Shifts including some nights, weekends, and holidays Telework: Not Available Virtual: This is not a virtual position.
