Job Title: Shipping and Receiving Clerk Job Description We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Shipping & Receiving Clerk to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in the manufacturing process, ensuring that materials are handled efficiently and safely. This position requires a strong understanding of warehouse operations, including shipping and receiving, material picking, forklift operationu2014both stand-up and sit-downu2014and packaging boxes. Responsibilities + Efficiently handle materials within the warehouse. + Operate forklifts and pallet jacks safely. + Execute shipping and receiving tasks effectively. + Perform cycle counting and inventory management. + Utilize RF scanners for material tracking. + Engage in general production and packing duties. + Maintain detailed and organized records of shipments and receipts. + Collaborate with team members to achieve operational goals. Essential Skills + At least 6 months of warehouse experience within a manufacturing environment. + Previous experience in shipping and receiving. + Proficiency in material handling techniques, including heavy lifting (up to 50 pounds). + Strong mechanical knowledge related to warehouse equipment operation. + Ability to operate heavy equipment safely, including forklifts and pallet jacks. + Knowledge of shipping and receiving processes. + Experience with warehouse management systems is advantageous. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Putnam, CT. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $16.35 - $20.00/hr.
