Civil Engineer - Little Rock, AR

Job Title: Civil Engineer Job Description We are seeking a skilled Civil Engineer proficient in Civil 3D with a focus on water and wastewater design. The successful candidate will oversee waste water design projects from inception to completion, collaborating with drafters and designers when necessary. Projects encompass a range of municipal civil engineering tasks, including water supply, transmission, treatment, storage, and distribution; wastewater collection, pumping, treatment, and disposal; systems controls and telemetry; and special studies such as master development plans, stormwater management, spill prevention, water and wastewater system modeling, and permitting. Responsibilities + Manage wastewater design projects from start to finish. + Prepare engineering design drawings utilizing field surveying data, reports, maps, drawings, and topographical and geologic data. + Determine and prepare project cost estimates. + Handle all aspects of the project life cycle, ensuring seamless progression from initiation to completion. + Prepare contractor pay requests. + Confirm contractor adherence to construction specifications by monitoring project progress, inspecting construction sites, and reviewing shop drawings. + Ensure design drawings and contract documents comply with federal, state, and local requirements. + Directly manage CAD, surveying, clerical, and other support staff involved in the project. Essential Skills + Proficiency in Civil 3D. + Strong background in water and wastewater engineering design. + Experience in stormwater and wastewater engineering. + Ability to prepare engineering design drawings using various data sources. + Competence in preparing project cost estimates. Additional Skills & Qualifications + Experience in piping and drainage design. + Ability to manage projects from start to finish. + Knowledge of AutoCAD Civil 3D. Work Environment The work environment is primarily in-office with occasional site visits required based on the state of the project. The company is experiencing rapid growth with a significant workload anticipated in the coming years. A new office has been opened in NWA to accommodate expanding work throughout the state. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Conway, AR. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $45.00/hr.
