HIRING NIGHT SHIFT SKILLED ASSEMBLERS IN FERNLEY. MUST BE OPEN FOR ROTATING SCHEDULE/OPEN AVAILABILITY- WILL BE WORKING WEEKENDS Job Title: Manufacturing Technician Job Description We are seeking a dedicated Manufacturing Technician to join our team. This role involves operating and monitoring manufacturing equipment to ensure optimal performance and maintaining high-quality standards in production processes. Responsibilities + Operate and monitor manufacturing equipment to ensure optimal performance. + Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting on machinery. + Follow production schedules and meet quality standards. + Collaborate with team members to improve production processes. + Maintain accurate records of production data and equipment maintenance. + Adhere to safety protocols and promote a safe working environment. + Assist in training new employees in manufacturing procedures. + Maintain an understanding of different types of raw materials and their appropriate manufacturing locations. + Check the quality of products. + Examine, measure, and weigh materials or products. + Inform the shift supervisor about product quality problems, equipment issues, and safety concerns. + Perform any other duties as assigned. Essential Skills + Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills. + Ability to read and interpret technical documents and blueprints. + Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills. + Strong communication and teamwork abilities. + Willingness to work flexible hours, including overtime if necessary. + Ability to troubleshoot and multitask. + Basic mathematic skills. + Verbal and written communication skills in English. + Time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines. Additional Skills & Qualifications + High school diploma or equivalent is required. + Technical degree or certification is preferred. + Experience with 5s methodology is preferred. + At least 1 year of experience in a manufacturing or production environment is required. + Experience as a machine mechanic is preferred. + Some electrical knowledge is preferred. + Overhead crane experience is preferred. + Quality control experience is preferred. + Forklift experience is required. Work Environment This position requires frequent lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling of up to 50 pounds. The role involves standing, walking, utilizing stairs or ladders, driving an automatic forklift, climbing, squatting, stooping, twisting, bending, grabbing, and grasping. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $27.67 - $27.67/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your jobclassification and length of employment.
