Caregivers in this role may be scheduled across three areas, including the Triage Shift, supporting nursing requests, task follow-up, inventory tracking, window coverage, and procarp fills, and the Carousel Shift, which includes inventory management, Pyxis fills and deliveries, IV room collaboration, batching, and supporting a fast-paced IV operation. Morning and afternoon teams work collaboratively to manage deliveries and inventory, while the night shift consists of two technicians. This role offers a strong team-based environment, where caregivers value collaboration, support, and regular team gatherings.A caregiver in this role will work a night shift from 8:30pm - 7am on a 7on/7off schedule. A caregiver who excels in this role will:Prepare medications through selecting, labeling, repacking, non-sterilecompoundingand sterile compounding.Deliver medications to theappropriate storagelocations inan accurateandtimelymanner.Maintainaccurateandappropriate inventoriesof medications and supplies and complete inventory audits, such as cycle counts and nursing unit inspections.Maintain a safe and clean work area bycomplying withprocedures, rules and regulations, anddocumentregulatory requirements such as temperature logs, scheduledactivitiesand training.Use information systems,technologyand automation to complete assigned tasks.Assistwith the training of pharmacy caregivers and students.Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:High School Diploma/GEDAbility to perform algebraic calculations necessary for the preparation of extemporaneous compoundsMust meet all of the following license and certification combination requirements at the time of application:Must be a Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) through the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) OR the National HealthCareer Association (NHA)ANDit is required to hold an active registration through the Ohio Board of Pharmacy (OBOP) as either a Certified Pharmacy Technician, Registered Pharmacy Technician, or Pharmacy Technician Trainee. If certified but current status with the Ohio Board of Pharmacy (OBOP) is Registered Pharmacy Technician or Pharmacy Technician Trainee it is required to update registration status to a Certified Pharmacy Technician with the OBOP within six months of hire.Please note:A status as a Pharmacy Technician Trainee with OBOP does not qualify for this role. However, please visit the apprenticeship program to express interest: qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:Six months of related experienceCompletion of a Pharmacy Technician ProgramPhysical Requirements:Typical physical demands include ability to perform the job while standing, walking, reaching, stretching and sitting for prolonged periods; manual dexterity sufficient to perform computer, dispensing, and compounding.Personal Protective Equipment:• Follows standard precautions using personal protective equipment as required.Pay RangeMinimum hourly: $19.25Maximum hourly: $28.00The pay range displayed on this job posting reflects the anticipated range for new hires.
