Hereu2019s what the opportunity supported through our TGS Talent Acquisition Team requires: The Cloud Architect position is a leadership position in the organization that is responsible for managing multiple consulting and delivery projects, teams/programs. The Sr Architect provides consulting and delivery assurance of services for clients through a range of internal and external functions. The position of Sr. Cloud Architect is distinguished from Cloud Architect positions by the nature of the engagements or programs involved; deal sizes range from transactional solutions of $2-5M. As a Sr. Cloud Architect the architect is expected to have the experience and background to perform all the duties described below for engagements that are focused on consulting/delivery management within the defined subject matter area, including resource management, deliverables development, project planning and executions, adherence to contract attributes and costing, customer interaction, and other key aspects of solution-based managed services. For a Sr Cloud Architect, these engagements will typically be delivered for North American customers or at the customer location, usually North America based. They are expected to have adequate level skills required for complex deliverable-based, fully outsourced, or extremely large-scale engagements or programs and lead the delivery effort to a larger cross-functional project/program. This role may require up to 25% travel. The ideal candidate will bring their deep expertise in Cloud Services primarily on AWS, Microservices and Serverless architectures, Cloud Native Development, CI/CD and DevOps, presales, delivery, and operational excellence. They will provide expert level support for strategic ongoing and new TGS client initiatives. They will work amongst our other key partners to assist in the development of robust cloud offerings and bring holistic solutions across key focus areas of TGS Enterprise Modernization strategic objectives. Primary responsibilities: Delivery Support: For new engagements, drive the transition phase as well as the setup of the engagement operating model, help define metrics and support the delivery of defined statements of work. Engagement Leadership: Create the technical architecture for complex cloud systems, and lead the implementation team. Perform hands on implementation tasks, and delegate other tasks to the rest of the implementation team. Guide the creation and delivery of project deliverables, ensuring they meet client requirements and adhere to client requirements. Ensure the implementation team maintains a shared vision of the engagement goals. Client Interaction: Throughout the engagement, maintain strong relationships with clients, ensuring their needs are met and addressing any issues that arise. Help surface opportunities for further client engagement. Additional Responsibilities as needed will include but not be limited to: Pre-Sales Support: Support Solution Architects and Solution Executives with technical opinions, methodology recommendations, work estimates, and solution support. Practice Support: As needed, provide input, expertise, and implement changes into the design, development and improvement of service offerings and back-office procedures; assist in the research and development of new offerings and analyze competing offerings to ensure practice is current and competitive within the market; create and maintain practice artifacts that document key methods, processes and delivery tools. Human Resources: Assist with interviewing, hiring, and on-boarding of project team members during initial engagement phase. Minimum Qualifications: u2022 Bachelor's in Computer Science or other engineering or technical discipline is required u2022 9+ years' experience in information technology and/or professional services, with emphasis on subject matter expertise u2022 At least 5 years of experience as a Cloud Architect or equivalent role u2022 At least 5 years of AWS services experience is required. u2022 At least 3 years of cloud migration experience is required u2022 At least 3 years of Microservices and Serverless experience is required u2022 Demonstrated leadership abilities in an engineering environment in driving operational excellence and best practices u2022 Develop innovative solutions to complex business and technology problems u2022 Strong track record of delivering projects of demonstrable complexity & scale u2022 Hands on knowledge of AWS AI/ML and GenAI services including SageMaker, Amazon Bedrock, Amazon Bedrock AgentCore (agentic architectures, runtimes, gateways, tool/use-case orchestration), Amazon Q (including Amazon Q Business, Amazon Q in QuickSight, and Amazon Q in Connect), and the Strands SDK for building and operating agentic systems u2022 u00b7 Demonstrated ability to design, implement, and govern modern agentic architectures on AWS (multi-agent patterns, tool/function calling, orchestration, evaluation/observability, and secure runtime isolation) using Amazon Bedrock AgentCore and related services u2022 u00b7 Hands-on experience building agent workflows and integrations with the Strands SDK, including tool definitions, agent routing/orchestration, and deployment/operations patterns u2022 Hands on knowledge of AWS Data services including S3/Athena, Lake Formation, Glue, RedShift or EMR u2022 Hands on knowledge in various AWS services like ECS, EKS, Lambda, Event Bridge, S3, DynamoDB, System Manager, API Gateway, ACM, Route53, Cloud Watch u2022 Experience with enterprise AWS services including Organizations, Control Tower, Transit Gateways, Direct Connect u2022 Experience with strategizing and solution migration of legacy enterprise app (Lift & Shift/ Code Refactoring) u2022 Ability to lead adoption and mentor team members on modern DevOps and architectural concepts u2022 Experience with source code and software collaboration technologies (e.g. GitHub, GitLab, BitBucket, Artifactory) u2022 Experience configuring and managing CI/CD pipelines (e.g. GitHb Actions, GitLab, Jenkins, CodePipeline) u2022 Strong infrastructure as code experience, preferably in Terraform u2022 Strong Knowledge in container technologies like Docker, Kubernetes and cloud native frameworks u2022 Strong hands-on scripting skills (e.g. Python, Bash, PowerShell) u2022 Some knowledge of one application programming language like C#, Java, or JavaScript (Node) u2022 Knowledge of IP networking, VPN's, DNS, load balancing and firewalling u2022 Strong practical Linux and Windows-based systems administration skills in a Cloud or Virtualized environment u2022 Ability to travel to client locations to deliver professional services, as needed u2022 Remotely work with team members across a range of time zones and regions. u2022 Able to present designs to a varied audience across technical and non-technical stakeholders u2022 Ability to identify and address potential design or architecture issues, and work with uncertainty u2022 Willing to lead discussion and challenge technical and design decisions where standards or best practices are not met u2022 Implement central architecture standards, using JIRA, confluence etc. raising and tracking architecture tasks, dependencies and risks for 2-3 inflight projects they are assigned to u2022 Sharp analytical abilities and proven design skills u2022 Strong sense of ownership, urgency and drive u2022 Outstanding written and verbal communication skills with an emphasis on communicating technical requirements and solutions to internal and external audiences. u2022 Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $156000.00 - $234000.00/yr. We reserve the right to pay above or below the posted wage based on factors unrelated to sex, race, or any other protected classification.
