Join our team of problem solvers as we add new chapters to the history of spaceflightThis role is part of the Lunar Permanence business unit, which develops Blue Origin's Blue Moon landers and related products. To further Blue Origin's mission of millions of people living and working in space for the benefit of Earth, we are building sustainable infrastructure for our transport of crew and cargo from Earth to the lunar surface.The Test Engineering manager will report to the Senior Manager of Lunar Core Components Test. Disciplines include cryo-fluid, fluids, thermal and mechanical test. The selected candidate will integrate, coordinate, and triage engineering support across integrated product teams and test engineers. The Manager will lead their employees' professional development (e.g., performance evaluations, compensation and promotion management, and routine one-on-one development conversations) and coach them on career development. The successful candidate will work independently to develop solutions and perform as a lead test engineer executing test procedures, ensuring all steps and processes are followed, be accountable to the safety of the hardware and people involved in the test. We are looking for someone to be our Test Manager onsite at LSO. You will play a key role in developing the Lunar Permanence system that will return humans to the Moon and extend human presence permanently beyond the bounds of Earth.We are looking for someone to apply their technical expertise, leadership skills, and commitment to quality to positively impact safe human spaceflight. Passion for our mission and vision is requiredQualifications:2+ years managing technical teams and/or leading functional groups with responsibility for career management of employees6+ years of experience in at least one specialty area applicable to space flightExperience leading multidisciplinary development and verification tests, including managing requirements, priorities, scope, schedule, and costDemonstrated leadership in establishing a high-performing safety cultureExcellent written and oral communication skillsMinimum of a B.S. degree in engineering or another technical fieldDesired:Experience with verification, integration, and test, of orbital vehicles or human rated spacecraftExperience with pressurized gaseous hydrogen and/or oxygen system testingDemonstrated drive to correct errors at their root and not pass them downstreamDemonstrated effectiveness in implementing continuous improvement for processes, methods, and practices.Familiar with agile project managementExperience with space vehicle design development and testCompensation Range for:WA applicants is $150,743.00 - $211,039.50Other site ranges may differCulture StatementDon't meet all desired requirements?
