We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Systems Architect to overseeing the design, development, and implementation of complex material handling systems. As a Systems Architect, you will play a critical role in the development and design of complex systems to meet the needs of our clients and the material handling market. You will help streamline the entry of systems, subsystems, and products into the market, providing technical guidance in the development of complex Integrator Ready solutions while improving the scalability of Integrator Ready Products and Solutions. Additionally, you will provide guidance on system-level thinking to the organization for development efforts outside of Systems Engineering. (Job Responsibilities and Requirements Responsibilities: Support System Engineering Team in developing the foundation for the team: u2022 Process and tool development and implementation u2022 Develop engineering design strategies and standards for integrated solutions u2022 Develop building blocks for reuse in future system designs u2022 Develop product libraries for Intralox and third-party technologies and solutions u2022 Manage third-party solution libraries u2022 Stay current with industry trends and technologies u2022 Continuously improve Systems Engineering processes and tools Project manage the engineering effort for the development and design of complex material handling solutions: u2022 Manage the systems engineering development and design process u2022 Scope management u2022 Schedule management u2022 Cost management u2022 Communication management u2022 Resource management u2022 Risk management u2022 Provide technical guidance to development efforts Opportunity analysis: u2022 Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to understand problem statements and evaluate customer and market needs and requirements Requirements engineering and management: u2022 Work with a cross-functional team to develop a comprehensive list of stakeholder requirements u2022 Transform stakeholder requirements into functional system requirements u2022 Track compliance with requirements throughout the development and design process Concept development: u2022 Guide the development of conceptual solutions based on stakeholder and system requirements u2022 Coordinate early feasibility studies, testing, and concept emulations when necessary u2022 Lead analysis and selection of system concepts and architecture u2022 Support the Commercial and Proposal teams in the development of proposals Define the work: u2022 Perform functional and logical decomposition of system architecture into subsystems, equipment, and components u2022 Define technical approaches and development strategies u2022 Develop work packets to guide engineering efforts u2022 Define resource requirements Manage the work: u2022 Provide guidance and technical expertise during the development process u2022 Coordinate and oversee the engineering efforts of a cross-functional, multi-disciplinary team u2022 Facilitate design reviews, ensure subsystem compliance, and approve designs u2022 Lead and track decision-making efforts u2022 Coordinate verification and validation of components, subsystems, and systems u2022 Oversee the integration and testing of system components and subsystems Qualifications: u2022 Bacheloru2019s degree in Systems Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field u2022 Proven experience in a leadership role of a technical team u2022 Experience managing development projects u2022 Minimum of 7 years of industry experience u2022 Strong understanding of systems design, systems engineering principles, methodologies, and tools u2022 Excellent project management skills with a track record of successfully delivering complex projects u2022 Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills with proven experience working with peer organizations u2022 Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment u2022 Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail u2022 Experience working in cross functional teams u2022 A self-managed individual who is a team player with leadership qualities u2022 Attends trainings or self-trains to continuously improve skillsets u2022 Able to travel up to 20%, work weekends, holidays and overtime when required u2022 Position based in Hanover, MD Intraloxu2019s benefit program is a major part of an employeeu2019s total compensation from the company. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. Intralox considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidateu2019s work experience, location, education/training and key skills. The position is eligible for one of the following: commissions, discretionary incentives, or production incentives according to the terms of those plans Salary Range $100,900 to $ 216,900.
