The project is one of severalprojects included in the MIDUS (Midlife in the U.S.) study. Duties focuson recruiting study participants, scheduling study visits, collectingdata and post visit follow-up. Interactions with study participants willinvolve working with a team conducting face-to face biopsychosocialassessments completed during an overnight stay on the Clinical ResearchUnit (CRU) at the UW Hospital. Duties also include providing datamanagement support to project leadership. Specific duties may shift overthe course of the study in response to changing priorities. Must be ableto work some evenings and weekends (which translates nicely to someflexibility during weekday hours).Key Job Responsibilities: Managesresearch workflow components, collects, prepares, processes, and submitsparticipant data and samples to appropriate entities, adhering toresearch protocols Serves as a main point of contact for clinicalresearch participants, providing information regarding researchprocedures, expectations, and informational inquiries. Ensuresparticipants follow the research protocol and alerts PrincipalInvestigator of issues Recruits, screens, selects, determineseligibility and enrolls trial participants, collects more complexinformation, performs medical assessments, and answers varied questionsunder supervision of a medically licensed professional. Performs medicalassessments after completion of required training/certification, such ascollecting vital signs, obtaining weight, and performing phlebotomyIdentifies work unit resources needs and manages supply and equipmentinventory levels Schedules logistics, determines workflows, and securesresources for clinical research trials May assist with training of staffIdentifies resource needs and develops clinical research documents, suchas...
