FTE: 1.000000 Standard Hours: 40.00 Shift:1st shift 8am to 4:30 pm Shift Details: Holidays: N/A Weekends: N/A JobSummary: Provides diversified system-wide or multi-clinic support forpatient safety activities that impact strategic initiatives. Worksclosely with hospital leaders, physicians and clinical staff to analyzeand improve clinical care practices. Serves as an internal systemsthinking expert and consultant. Collaborates with departments andinterdisciplinary teams to identify, develop and implement strategies toimprove clinical care and/or processes related to patient safety.Effectively participates in activities designed to improve quality ofcare through active facilitation of /or direct facilitation ininitiatives designed to improve process of care and outcomes, reductionof system hazards, and preventable harm. Conducts and facilitatescredible systematic investigations on patient safety events through toimplementation and control phase of monitoring to sustain improvement.Reports barriers to success in a timely manner and offers meaningfulrecommendations for resolution. EXPERIENCE DESCRIPTION: A minimum of 3to 5 years of hospital experience is required with evidence ofperformance improvement project experience. Highly prefer Ambulatoryexperience. Experience with and/or working knowledge of basic processimprovement method: PDSA, Process mapping, and Project Management isrequired. Emergency, Critical care or Quality Management experience ispreferred. Experience in performance improvement activities ispreferred. Prior leadership experience preferred. EDUCATIONDESCRIPTION: 1) Bachelor's Degree in Nursing or other Clinical area, or2) Master's Degree in Health Care related field is required. ClinicalMaster's Degree is preferred. TRAINING DESCRIPTION: Ability toprioritize concentration and pay close attention to details. Knowledgeand experience with a wide variety of computer programs including Word,PowerPoint, Excel and Outlook. Advanced training in process improvementmethodologies including: Lean, Six Sigma and Change Management ispreferred. Experience in developing department performance summarieswith drill-down information/explanations of variance to desiredperformance. EPIC experience preferred. SPECIAL SKILLS DESCRIPTION:Strong communication skills with the ability to build relationships withproviders, leadership and clinical staff. Comfortable in clinicalsettings to assist teams at the point of care with problem solving oraction plans related to RCAs. Professional presentation skills andability to adapt/communicate relevant message to audience. Excellentwritten and verbal skills. Strong ability to coordinate, lead andexecute on team deliverables. LICENSURE DESCRIPTION: CPPS certificationis preferred.
