Nurse Practitioner (NP) - Neurology (CSSD)

This employment opportunity is being recruited by Rady Childrenu2019s Hospital-San Diego on behalf of Children's Specialists of San Diego. JOB SUMMARY: The Nurse Practitioner provides comprehensive physical assessment, treatment, psychosocial support, referral, and health education to children and families in clinical, school, and in-home settings. The Nurse Practitioner functions as a primary care provider, clinical leader, educator, researcher, care coordinator and consultant and works with the supervision of a physician. Performs within the scope of licensures and in accordance with hospital policies. Some positions will be responsible for being on call according to a predetermined schedule or as needed. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Masteru2019s Degree Current California Nurse Practitioner License Current BLS for Healthcare Providers, issued by AHA Furnishing number, State of California (must obtain within 1 year of employment) DEA license for position that require the writing of scheduled medications (must obtain within 1 year of employment) Medicare Billing Number (NPI-National Provider Identifier) - (must obtain within 6 months of employment) Certification: Nurse Practitioner, National (must obtain within 1 year of employment) Successfully complete the credentialing process through Medical Staff Services Successfully complete the requirements of the delegations of Services for the assigned division PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: 2 years of experience in clinical nursing with emphasis in specialty area Experience in specialty area as a Nurse Practitioner Formal in-service education and/or lecturing skills Bilingual The expected hiring range for this position is $61.30 to $84.29 Childrenu2019s Specialists of San Diego is committed to compensation that is externally competitive and internally equitable.
