Overview Casing Drilling Specialist (Tie-Back, Micropile, and Casing Advancement) At GeoStabilization International, deep foundation, small diameter drilling is mission-critical work. We operate in unstable slopes, emergency geohazard conditions, and structurally sensitive environments whereinstallation accuracy, casing integrity, and ground control determine project success. Responsibilities What Youu2019ll Lead As an experienced driller, youu2019ll work on projects across the U.S. leading crews and teams in the application of drilling techniques. Your core responsibilities include: + Applying your skills across a variety of geohazard mitigation systems and projects + Executing safety plansu2014protecting the people around you is priority #1 + Coaching and developing teammates to be more effective and grow their skills. + Helping with equipment maintenance and jobsite organization + Communicating clearly with clients and internal teams Growth Path This is not a static trade role. Qualifications Core Technical Requirements u2013 Casing Focused + Minimum 3+ years of deep casing drilling experiencein geotechnical or ground support applications + Demonstrated experience with: + Concentric casing systems (e.g., Symmetrix, ODEX, Elemex, or equivalent) + Duplex head drilling systems + Dual Rotary drilling systems + Percussion drill systems + Temporary and permanent casing installation + Tie-back and micropile casing systems + Proven ability to advance casing through: + Collapsing overburden + Mixed face conditions + Variable rock-to-soil transitions + High groundwater environments + Flowing sands + Experience maintaining verticality, alignment, and embedment tolerances within engineered specifications + Strong understanding of casing sequencing, grout control, and structural load transfer principles What Separates Good from Elite Casing Drill Operators at GSI Competent operators: + Can run casing systems with supervision + Meet installation requirements + Follow instructions Elite operators: + Anticipate subsurface challenges before they escalate + Protect casing integrity and minimize rework + Improve production efficiency without sacrificing precision + Mentor junior crew members on proper casing technique + Take ownership of the structural outcome u2014 not just the drill Work & Travel Expectations + Outdoor work in climates ranging from mountains to deserts + Typical construction-site hazards and noise levels + Regular lifting of 75 lbs + + Extensive travelu2014up to 100% across the U.S. Compensation & Benefits This is an hourly leadership role with significant earning potential: + $27u2013$35 per hour based on experience levelmost relevant to our projects.
