HVAC Controls Service Technician IILocation: Boise, ID, United StatesCategory: Technician - Building AutomationDescriptionPosition PurposeAs a LONG Controls Service Technician II, you will support customers bytroubleshooting and programming temperature control systems hardware andsoftware based on customer complaints and concerns, or as identified byFault Detection & Diagnostics (FDD) software. Using your education,experience, and expertise in the commercial HVAC industry, you willperform emergency and preventative maintenance services on installedsystems. You will also leverage your experience and skills to supportour Impact-Driven Service offering that includes Fault Detection &Diagnostics (FDD) software and task management and resolution.Additionally, you will provide guidance and consultation to the customerclient base regarding your job tasks and recommended solutions. The essentialfunctions of this position include but are not limited to:Provide inspections and assessments of the conditions of control systemsfor physical damage, wear and tear, and signs of degradationPerform preventative maintenance such as cleaning, part replacements,software updates, or system optimizations to minimize the risk offailures and malfunctionsUtilize industry experience to troubleshoot any issues with systems toidentify and implement solutionsEffectively communicate with customers to answer any inquiries, offerguidance, and resolve technical issuesEducate system users about the proper function and upkeep to productsSupply information to customers about investing into necessaryreplacements or vital repairs that are key components to devicesKeep record of all repairs and maintenance and properly report issues tothe technical supervisorThe ability to Independently diagnose a broad range of complex systemissues and rectify them to the client's satisfaction and according toLONG Standards.Provide guidance and support to other controls service technicians aboutsystem maintenance, troubleshooting issues and equipment recommendationson and off the jobsiteProvide technical expertise and implement standardized procedures tomaximize control system efficiencyProgram databases for supported systems to meet specified sequences ofoperation and equipment manufacturers recommendations, in accordancewith LONG standards and contract documents[](employment opportunity, including veterans and individuals withdisabilities.PI282643814
