All the benefits and perks you need for you and your family: + Benefits from Day One: Medical, Dental, Vision Insurance, Life Insurance, Disability Insurance + Paid Time Off from Day One + 403-B Retirement Plan + 4 Weeks 100% Paid Parental Leave + Career Development + Whole Person Well-being Resources + Mental Health Resources and Support + Pet Benefits Schedule: Full time Shift: Day (United States of America) Address: 10987 SHELDON RD City: TAMPA State: Florida Postal Code: 33626 Job Description: + $5,000 Sign On Bonus for Eligible Candidates + Supports our Mobile Mammography - travels throughout the Hillsborough and Pinellas Counties + Participates in patient tracking and follow-up processes, assisting with recalls, additional imaging coordination, and biopsy scheduling as required by departmental workflows. + Supports breast center initiatives, such as accreditation preparation, community screening events, or quality improvement activities. + Follows department protocols for patient identification, informed consent, and time-out procedures prior to starting exams. + Maintains accurate and timely documentation within the electronic medical record (EMR) and PACS systems. + Performs high-quality examinations in accordance with provider orders and departmental protocols, ensuring optimal image quality for accurate diagnosis. + Ensures exam rooms are clean, stocked, and ready for use, and that all equipment undergoes routine cleaning and safety checks. + Notifies appropriate personnel when inventory is low. + Performs and documents daily system quality control (QC) checks in compliance with departmental policies and regulatory requirements. + Positions patients and operates mammography equipment to obtain optimal images, adjusting technical factors and compression as needed. + Ensures patient identification, safety, and comfort, explaining procedures clearly and addressing questions or concerns with professionalism and compassion. + Follows all MQSA, FDA, and ACR guidelines, including quality control testing, equipment performance checks, and documentation requirements. + Collaborates with radiologists and breast imaging team to ensure accurate imaging and timely communication of results or next steps. + Other duties as assigned. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: u2022 Knowledge of Mammography and Diagnostic Radiological Procedures/Positions [Required] u2022 Ability to determine appropriate technical factors [Required] u2022 Knowledge of Mammography equipment and MQSA and ACR regulations [Required] u2022 Ability to learn and master new tasks related to Image Quality and Radiation Safety [Required] u2022 Ability to communicate effectively and work with people of various diverse backgrounds [Required] u2022 Ability to complete Mammography exams in a timely manner even under stressful condition [Required] u2022 Good organizational skills [Preferred] u2022 Knowledge of PACS and associated equipment [Preferred] u2022 Must be able to read, write and speak conversational English [Required] u2022 Basic computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office [Required] u2022 Ability to make judgments that must be made on a regular basis regarding exam protocols and imaging techniques, based upon patient condition and provisional diagnosis [Required] u2022 Ability to quickly learn and follow departmental policies and procedures [Required] u2022 Must maintain all required registries and licenses to perform imaging procedures [Required] u2022 Ability to follow Basic Radiation Safety concepts of time, distance, and shielding to keep exposure levels ALARA for patients and staff [Required] u2022 Performance of 2D and 3D mammography exams [Required] Education: u2022 Associate [Preferred] u2022 High School Grad or Equiv [Required] Work Experience: u2022 1+ year of experience [Required] Additional Information: u2022 Additional Licensure or certification requirements may apply depending on the specific unit or state in which this position is located.
