Fuel Farm Operator

Description Overview As a member of the Menzies Aviation Fuel Farm Operating Team, you will be responsible for sampling and testing products for quality control, and performing inspections and basic maintenance on facilities, fuel systems and fueling vehicles. Other responsibilities include receiving and dispatching jet fuel, gasoline, diesel fuel, av gas and glycol via pipelines and fuel trucks Role Purpose The role of the Fuel Farm Operator is to be responsible for sampling and testing products for quality control, and performing inspections and basic maintenance on facilities, fuel systems and fueling vehicles. What you will be doing: u2022 Receives/dispatches jet fuel, gasoline, diesel fuel, avgas and glycol via pipelines and trucks.u2022 Samples and tests products for quality control and performance inspections and basic maintenance on facilities, fuel systems and fueling vehicles. u2022 Supports Quality Control Technicians with hydraulic, pneumatic and electrical reports and preventative maintenance of equipment at fuel storage facilities/systems including related equipment on fueling vehicles. u2022 Performs routine and periodic inspections in compliance with company, customer, government and industry standards u2022 Transfers product and monitors storage tanks, pipelines and related equipment to ensure that they are in good working order to prevent spills, releases, overfills and product contaminationu2022 Conducts all work in a safe fashion by adhering to all company, customer, industry, local, state and federal safe work policies/proceduresu2022 Makes required log entries of fuel transactions, quality control, and maintenanceu2022 Assures adherence to safety policies and procedures. u2022 Can meet Company's Attendance and code of conduct standards Would you like to see more detail on the accountabilities of the role? What we are looking for: u2022 High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. u2022 Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers.u2022 Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.u2022 Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations. u2022 Valid Driver's License. Possess/maintain a valid driveru2019s license and other FFA Airport required identification/seals or authorizations. Must be at least 18 years of age.u2022 Ability to safely lift up to 70 pounds.u2022 Must pass all pre-employment testing to include drug testing and a physical.u2022 Must be able to obtain and maintain all required airports and customs badges/seals.u2022 Must be available and flexible to work variable shifts including weekends and holidays if required.u2022 Work is done primarily outdoors.
