Summary: Our Early Learning and Early Intervention Center (ELC) strives to provide high-quality early childhood education and early intervention for children with and without disabilities in an inclusive educational setting. The Lead Teacher provides classroom leadership, design and implement intervention for children ages 0-5 enrolled in the ELC. Schedule & Location: The ELC is located on Martin Luther King, Jr. Avenue in SE Washington, DC. The hours of operation are Monday - Friday from 7:30a - 5:30p, year round. This is a full time position with a flexible schedule within the center hours, depending on program needs. This position has an annual salary range of $60,678 - $71,010 depending on education level. Essential Functions and Responsibilities: u00b7 Provide supervision to classroom staff u00b7 Promote a team atmosphere in the classroom u00b7 Participate in the development and implementation of IFSP/IEPu2019s u00b7 Design and implement activities to meet each childu2019s goals and objectives u00b7 Ensure that written lesson plans, progress reports, data sheets, and other pertinent documentation is completed u00b7 Prepare and present relevant information at team meetings, parent meetings and evaluative meetings u00b7 Ensure that written and verbal communication with parent consistently occurs and is documented u00b7 Maintain communication and work in collaboration with clinical team u00b7 Make appropriate clinical referrals regarding materials, equipment service needs u00b7 Assist in the monitoring of the medical and dietary needs of each child u00b7 Facilitate family participation through home and center based activities u00b7 Participate in staff training activities and staff development. u00b7 Maintain appropriate cleanliness of room and materials including strict adherence to universal precautions Management Responsibilities : u00b7 Co-manage Teacher Assistants u00b7 Provide feedback to be used in Performance Evaluation of the Teacher Assistants Education & Experience: u00b7 An Associateu2019s Degree or higher from an accredited college or university in Early Childhood Education or Early Childhood Development OR u00b7 An Associateu2019s Degree or higher from an accredited college or university including at least fifteen (15) credit hours from an accredited college or university in Early Childhood Education or Early Childhood Development and at least one (1) year of supervised experience working with children in a licensed District of Columbia Child Development Center or its equivalent in another jurisdiction At least forty-eight (48) credit hours from an accredited college or university, at least fifteen (15) credit hours from an accredited college or university in Early Childhood Education or Early Childhood Development and at least two (2) year of supervised experience working with children in a licensed District of Columbia Child Development Center or its equivalent in another jurisdiction COVID-19: You are required to provide proof of COVID-19 vaccination prior to your first day of employment.
