SUMMARY The Utility Development Program Manager - On-Site Generation is responsible for planning, coordinating, and managing QTS bridging power infrastructure projects, including data center on-site generation and utility bridging power initiatives. This role ensures the safe, timely, and compliant delivery of electric power capacity at each campus by overseeing project schedules, budgets, and stakeholder alignment. This role will interface and collaborate with many critical stakeholders, including but not limited to energy leaders responsible for utility contracts and negotiations, operations leaders managing load growth projections, and development team project leaders planning and building new data centers. RESPONSIBILITIES, other duties may be assigned u2022 Provide strategic Leadership and coordination with partners, consultants, and contractors to drive the successful execution of on-site generation and bridging power construction activities u2022 Direct and manage the construction of multiple on-site generation and bridging power projects u2022 Management of partners and consultants related to electrical substation design and construction u2022 Lead in standardization of utility substation design, including distribution feeds to multiple buildings u2022 Manage budgets and cost forecasting of utility projects, including construction and equipment u2022 Develop transformer and equipment specifications u2022 Procure substation long lead equipment and transformers u2022 Procure and manage construction of multiple substation sites simultaneously u2022 Track and report on status and schedule of power delivery timelines BASIC QUALIFICATIONS u2022 Five or more years of on-site generation or meduim voltage construction management u2022 Five or more years or more years of experience running multiple projects at the same time or related professional experience u2022 Knowledge of substation industry partners and transformer manufacturers u2022 Bachelors degree in Electrical engineering, or equivalent experience u2022 Be able to travel up to 50% of the time or as needed to support projects u2022 Demonstrated experience working directly with executives and collaborating effectively across all levels of the organization PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS u2022 Ten plus years of on-site generation design or construction u2022 Experience as licensed electrician engineer with focus on MV / HV work u2022 Technical expertise in High and Medium Voltage Electrical Design u2022 Experience managing large portfolio of work KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES u2022 Strong verbal and written communication skills u2022 Ability to independently manage deadlines and support staff u2022 Ability to influence cross-discipline teams u2022 Ability to be flexible and adapt to changing situations at a high growth company u2022 Ability to prioritize, multitask, and deliver high quality work in tight timeframes TOTAL REWARDS This role is also eligible for a competitive beneufb01ts package that includes: medical, dental, vision, life, and disability insurance; 401(k) retirement plan; ufb02exible spending and HSA accounts; paid holidays; paid time off; paid volunteer days; employee assistance program; tuition assistance; parental leave; military leave assistance; QTS scholarship for dependents; wellness program, and other company beneufb01ts.
