This position is fulltime,yearround, and typically works close to home with only limited travelrequired for training. As a Senior Outside Plant Construction Technicianin Madison, WI, you will oversee the construction and maintenance ofPON/fiber network communications facilities in TDS Telecom servingareas. Performs advanced operation of construction equipment whichincludes, but is not limited to, trenchers, backhoes, end loaders, andplows. Manages the overall project while coordinating with internal andexternal resources. Ensures the entire team operates according to safetyprotocols. This role includes a $5,000 signon bonus (payout termsapply) and may qualify for relocation assistance. Outside PlantConstruction Technicians can also earn up to $75 per week in incentiveswhen your team meets production targets. Training: As a Senior OutsidePlant Construction Technician, you will have the opportunity to obtain aClass A CDL through our in-house training program. You will attendsafety training at one of our new facilities where you will also betrained on Pole Climbing and Bucket Trucks. On-the-job training includesexposure to various construction equipment including Directional DrillRigs, Mini Excavators, Trenchers, and Locators. Fiber optic trainingincludes Fusion Splicing, Fault Detection, and exposure to OTDRs andother advanced testing equipment. This position may be eligible forrelocation assistance.
