Maintenance Service Person u2013 Retirement Community Pay: $18 per hour (during temp status) Location: [Insert Location] Schedule: [Insert Schedule if needed] Position Overview Our retirement community is seeking a dependable and skilled Maintenance Service Person to support daily facility operations and ensure a safe, comfortable environment for our residents. This role requires strong general handyman skills and the ability to handle a variety of maintenance tasks. HVAC certification is not required . This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys hands?on work, takes pride in craftsmanship, and thrives in a resident?focused setting. Key Responsibilities + Complete routine maintenance and repair tasks throughout the property + Manage and complete work orders promptly + Perform general handyman duties, including: + Light plumbing (fixtures, leaks, drains) + Basic electrical repairs (switches, outlets, lighting) + Carpentry tasks (doors, cabinetry, trim) + Painting and drywall patching + Appliance troubleshooting + Assist with maintaining common areas and outdoor spaces + Support unit turnover preparation (repairs, touch-ups, minor fixes) + Follow all safety guidelines and protocols + Provide courteous, respectful service to residents and staff Qualifications + Prior experience in general maintenance, facility services, or handyman work + Strong troubleshooting abilities across basic trades + Ability to work independently and manage tasks efficiently + Good communication and friendly customer service attitude + Must be able to lift, bend, and perform physical duties + Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus but _NOT required_ + Ability to pass standard background requirements What We're Looking For + Reliable, dependable work ethic + Positive attitude and willingness to help + Respectful and patient when interacting with senior residents + Good problem-solving skills + Team-oriented mindset Compensation + $18 per hour while in temp status + Potential for long-term hire based on performance and needs Pay Details: $18.00 per hour Benefit offerings available for our associates include medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short-term disability, additional voluntary benefits, EAP program, commuter benefits and a 401K plan.
