Job Description u2022u2003Develop XR applications using OpenXR (end to end: architecture, implementation, testing, and iteration) u2022u2003Build interactive features, including: ou2003Input handling (controllers, hands, action sets, haptics) ou2003Scene and interaction systems (grabbing, ray interactions, 3D UI) ou2003Rendering and performance optimizations (frame pacing, latency sensitive updates) u2022u2003Integrate platform and runtime features where applicable (e.g., tracking spaces, anchor like constructs, passthrough or scene understanding via extensions) u2022u2003Create clean, testable code and contribute to basic CI/build scripts as needed u2022u2003Debug runtime and device issues (graphics, tracking, input), providing clear reproduction steps and fixes u2022u2003Collaborate with product, UX, and engineering stakeholders; document designs and tradeoffs We are a company committed to creating diverse and inclusive environments where people can bring their full, authentic selves to work every day. If you need assistance and/or a reasonable accommodation due to a disability during the application or recruiting process, please send a request to learn more about how we collect, keep, and process your private information, please review Insight Global's Workforce Privacy Policy: Skills and Requirements u2022u20033+ years of professional software development experience (or equivalent) u2022u2003Hands on experience shipping real time 3D applications (XR, games, simulation, or visualization) u2022u2003Practical experience with OpenXR core concepts (instances/sessions, swapchains, spaces, actions) u2022u2003Strong C/C++ and/or C# skills (depending on stack), with solid debugging ability u2022u2003Experience with a real time engine or framework, such as: ou2003Unity (C#) with the OpenXR plugin ecosystem, or ou2003Unreal Engine (C++) XR pipeline, or ou2003Custom/native OpenXR rendering using Vulkan, OpenGL, or DirectX u2022u2003Understanding of XR rendering and performance constraints (72/90/120 FPS targets, GPU/CPU bottlenecks, latency) u2022u2003Shipped at least one OpenXR based application or feature to production u2022u2003Experience with OpenXR extensions (e.g., hand tracking, eye gaze, foveated rendering, scene/space extensions) u2022u2003Graphics experience with Vulkan, OpenGL, or DirectX; familiarity with shaders and profiling tools (e.g., RenderDoc, engine profilers) u2022u2003Android XR experience (Gradle, NDK, JNI) or low level platform integration u2022u2003Experience building reusable XR components, frameworks, or application scaffolding
