Job Title: Senior Software Engineer u2013 SAP Commerce Cloud Location: Harrisburg, PA Type: Direct Hire Contractor Work Model: Remote Overview We are seeking a high-level Senior SAP Commerce Cloud Engineer to spearhead the implementation of a scalable, enterprise-grade B2B commerce platform. This is a critical leadership role for an established, employee-owned technology distributor where you will serve as the primary technical authority. You will lay the foundational architecture for our commerce ecosystem while providing the mentorship necessary to upskill an internal team of engineers. This role is designed for a seasoned professional who excels in Agile environments and can effectively bridge the gap between complex business goals and robust technical execution. Job Responsibilities + Serve as the technical lead and subject matter expert for all SAP Commerce Cloud implementation projects. + Embed and champion Agile methodologies within the delivery process by leading sprint ceremonies and backlog grooming. + Provide consistent technical mentorship and hands-on guidance to internal engineering teams. + Define and maintain high standards for code quality, architecture, and CI/CD processes aligned with SAP best practices. + Architect core platform functionalities including company accounts, customer-specific catalogs, and complex B2B checkout processes. + Lead the design and execution of integrations with SAP ERP, S/4HANA, and various third-party APIs. + Identify potential architectural risks and performance bottlenecks early in the development lifecycle to provide proactive solutions. + Translate high-level business goals into clear, actionable architectural strategies for both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Qualification Requirements + Five or more years of experience with SAP Commerce Cloud, specifically including hands-on work with B2B implementations. + Deep proficiency in Java, SpringBoot, and related backend technologies. + Proven track record of leading end-to-end greenfield projects within an Agile development environment. + High proficiency with Git and Maven, including a strong grasp of branching strategies and CI/CD best practices. + Extensive experience working with CCv2 for environment and deployment management. + Thorough understanding of Hybris B2B modules, including approval workflows and custom pricing management. + Strong background designing solutions involving event-based architecture, microservices, and REST APIs. + Excellent communication skills necessary to facilitate collaboration across diverse technical and business teams. + Experience mentoring software engineers and assisting in the growth of internal technical talent. Education + A Bacheloru2019s degree in Computer Science or a similar area of study is required, though equivalent years of related work experience will be considered.
