CIP Technician Boulder Community Health, Boulder, CO 80303 $21.75- $32.63 an hour - Per Diem Days, Various shifts and hours per week Range includes per diem differential. Boulder Community Health is seeking a Technician for The Center for Interventional Psychiatry (CIP). The CIP Technician administers Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS) amongst other treatments in collaboration with other behavioral health professionals.The CIP Technician also participates in pre and post procedure care of ECT and Ketamine patients under the direction of the ECT RN. The CIP Technician provides compassionate care to patients experiencing depression and anxiety and thoughtfully ensures patient comfort. Responsibilities: u2022Administer TMS treatments according to specific physician protocols. u2022Initiate TMS equipment and monitor to ensure proper functioning of equipment. u2022Monitor patients for comfort, safety, and treatment accuracy. u2022Provide excellent patient care and treat patients with compassion while developing trust and rapport. u2022Provide support, reflective listening, and compassion to patients struggling with depression and/or anxiety. u2022Recognize and manage a seizure per the competency, Seizure Response during TMS u2022Troubleshoot and resolve issues with patient comfort, coil contact, and TMS system setup throughout treatment. u2022Administer psychiatric rating scales and identify TMS-related needs prior to treatment u2022Document session notes in EHR, collaborate with physician(s) as required. u2022Schedule patient visits u2022Provide patient discharge instructions u2022Promotes effective communication and relationships with the team of certified TMS Psychiatrists,other physicians, RNs, and behavioral health team who oversee patient treatment as well as all hospital personnel. u2022Maintains supply and equipment PAR levels while promoting cost containment u2022Knowledge and practice of asepsis u2022Perform point of care laboratory testing and QC as needed u2022Assists with orientation and training of new staff and volunteers u2022Routinely demonstrates ability to set priorities in order to complete workload to promote flow of department/unit u2022While caring for an ECT patient the tech may shave and bed bathe patients and provide other various direct and indirect patient care duties u2022Employees are expected to comply with all regulatory requirements, including Joint Commission Standards u2022Is familiar with organization, department and job specific Environment of Care areas, including Life Safety, Utilities Management, Hazardous Materials Communications, Emergency Preparedness, Infection Control and Medical Equipment Failure.
