Exercise Physiologist Boulder Community Health, Boulder, CO 80303 $22.88 - $34.33 an hour - Half-Time Days, 20 hours per week +$2.50/hr for weekend shifts. Boulder Community Health is seeking an Exercise Physiologist who Provides direct patient care in the Boulder Heart and Cardiopulmonary departments under the direction of the Cardiac Services Director. Responsibilities u2022Explains purpose and test procedure to the patient. u2022Explains risks and safety precautions to the patient. u2022Prepares patient for procedure and coordinates procedure with other staff. u2022Performs testing procedures ordered by provider in accordance with established standards, policies and procedures. u2022Documents all necessary patient data, vital signs, symptoms, arrhythmias, other abnormalities or modifications in testing procedures. u2022Works in conjunction with nuclear and ultrasound technicians, nurses, M.A.s, providers, and scheduling staff and maintains appropriate communication. u2022Select appropriate stress testing protocols based on patient mobility, symptoms, and/or EKG indications. u2022Analyzes EKGs, communicates subjective patient information and medical history and coordinated findings to the appropriate provider. u2022May be required to do moderately complex lab testing. u2022Reports to RN or physician abnormal patient data findings. u2022Ability to respond appropriately to medical emergencies. u2022Completes all necessary patient records. u2022Distributes reports to appropriate physicians, departments or offices. u2022Maintains material and emergency equipment supplies within the department. u2022Assists Director with evaluation of new equipment and supplies.
