Responsibilities Location: Wichita, KS (On-site) Position Responsibilities: + Implements fabrication, assembly, or installation manufacturing plans by coordinating with suppliers, engineering, and manufacturing teams + Knowledge to develop tooling, interchangeability, replacement, and functional test plans + Using the established manufacturing process flow, defines sequences of events, develops text and graphics work instructions, manufacturing data sets, tooling requirements, and manufacturing bills of material + Communicates with engineering teams to influence and clarify design concepts + Coordinates change incorporation, optimizes processes, addresses producibility issues, production & post production problems + Has the ability to demonstrate configuration control of the hardware within the manufacturing build plan Qualifications Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience): + High School Diploma or GED + 3+ years of related experience with a High School Diploma/GED or 2+ years of related experience with a Bachelor's Degree + Candidates must be able to obtain and maintain a DoD Security Clearance + Successful candidates must be able to secure Program access approval Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience): + Active DoD Security Clearance + Technical Degree + Clarification and enhancement of existing build plans to promote standardization and ease of understanding + Frequent interaction with internal personnel in the manufacturing environment and occasionally with inter-organizational personnel and external customers + Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and 3D models + Creation and publication of manufacturing graphics + Strong skills in Microsoft Office, especially with Excel + Strong knowledge of SAP + CATIA / ENOVIA + 3DX + Understanding of the master scheduling requirements + Ability to take a project from start to finish + Willingness to work cross-functionally + Ability to apply process knowledge in one or more of the following areas: Composite non-metallic, Electrical/Electronics, Machining, Sheet metal, Systems and Structures Union: This is a union-represented position. Summary Pay Range: $59,950 - $91,950 Kansas Tax Credit: Join Spirit AeroSystemsu2019 Kansas team and you may be eligible for a $5,000 state of Kansas Aviation tax credit for up to five years.
