We feature innovations in joint replacement, robotic surgery, pelvic health for women, cancer care, intensive care for newborns, neurosurgery, medical care for children and more.u00a0u00a0The Surgicalu00a0Servicesu00a0department comprises areas in both the outpatient and inpatient surgical areas:u00a0- 30 outpatient beds located on the 2nd- 32 private inpatient beds on the 6thu00a0u00a0Primary patient population/diagnosesu00a0include elective, urgent, andu00a0emergent surgicalu00a0cases:u00a0- Orthopedic- General Surgery- Gynecological- Urology- Ear, Nose,u00a0&Throat- Vascular- Plastics- Neruosurgery- Wound Debridement- Pain management- Cath Lab- EndoscopyResponsibilities- Responsible for patient care within an assigned department/unit and participates as a member of the health care team in cooperation with and under the direction of the clinical manager or designee as defined by the relevant Standards and Scope of Practice for the Registered Nurse. The RN Staff Nurse assesses, analyzes, plans, implements and evaluates patient care following established patient care standards for Legacy Health System including those for patient assessment and transfer.QualificationsEducation:u00a0As required by licensure.u00a0 BSN or degree in progress strongly preferred. BSN may be required for specific assignments; experienced RNs without a BSN may be hired based on clinical experience with approval of the site CNO.u00a0Experience:One-year registered nursing experience or completion of either the Legacy Health RN Residency program or a nursing program that is equivalent in content, curriculum and duration.u00a0 Additional clinical experience requirements may vary dependent upon the specific department in which the position is utilized.Acute care experienceu00a0withu00a0surgical/post proceduralu00a0background preferred.u00a0u00a0Pediatric background helpful, but not required.u00a0u00a0This position is expected to cross-train to both inpatient and outpatient surgical areas and maintain competency to care for patients.u00a0u00a0Orientation and education will be provided to both areas to ensure appropriate training for the employee.u00a0This position is required to take call, with a 45-minute response, in the outpatient setting as required by unit expectations.u00a0The position requiresu00a0Holiday and weekend rotation and varied shift start times.u00a0u00a0Knowledge/Skills:u00a0Demonstrated ability of positive interpersonal and communication skills with colleagues, patients, families, physicians and the community.u00a0Keyboard skills and ability to
