Job Title: Accounts Payable Location: Newark, New Jersey Type: Contract - 6 months (possible extension) Compensation: $40 - $42.52 hourly Contractor Work Model: Hybrid (after getting trained) About the Role: Our client is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accounts Payable Specialist to join their finance team on a temporary basis. In this role, you will be integral to ensuring the timely and accurate processing of vendor invoices and payments in support of our clientu2019s operational efficiency. You will work within their established financial systems and collaborate closely with other departments to maintain smooth payables operations. Key Responsibilities: + Process, verify, and code invoices for payment, ensuring compliance with our clientu2019s policies and procedures. + Manage accounts payable transactions, including accurate data entry and approval workflows. + Reconcile vendor statements and promptly resolve discrepancies. + Assist with month-end close procedures related to accounts payable activities. + Support audit and compliance processes by maintaining detailed and organized records. + Collaborate with vendors and internal teams to facilitate timely payments. + Use Oracle Fusion or similar ERP systems as part of daily operations (experience with Oracle Fusion is a plus). Qualifications and Skills: + Bacheloru2019s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (preferred). + Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in accounts payable or general accounting. + Certification such as CAPP or APM is a plus. + Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and accuracy. + Proficiency with MS Office applications; experience with Oracle Fusion or similar ERP systems is preferred. + Ability to adapt to a hybrid work environment following training.
