Job Title: Training Instructor/ Facilitator Job Category: Training Time Type: Full time Minimum Clearance Required to Start: Public Trust Employee Type: Regular Percentage of Travel Required: Up to 50% Type of Travel: Continental US As a Trainer/Facilitator, you will be responsible for developing and delivering hands-on classroom and virtual training for Information Technology (IT) applications at the Military Sealift Command that cover Human Resources (HR) functions, finance and budgeting; as well as shipboard logistics and maintenance applications. You will work with a team of trainers. Bring your Training experience, collaboration skills, initiative, and energy to our team in the Chesapeake/Norfolk area. The position requires travel up to 50% during shipboard installations and training needs. Travel locations are CONUS and OCONUS depending on ship location during shipboard installations. What Youu2019ll Get to Do: u2022 Collaborate with team members and Subject Matter Experts to develop and refine curriculum, courses, and lessons for IT software applications. u2022 Create and maintain training materials, manuals, user guides, FAQs, and tutorials using Agile methodology techniques. u2022 Develop hands-on labs, exercises, and simulations for practical learning experiences. u2022 Ensure learning objectives are appropriate to the audience, and the training materials meet the learning objectives. u2022 Deliver instructor-led training both in-person and virtual. u2022 Collect and document measurements and reports on training delivery and evaluate effectiveness of training. u2022 Adhere to established training material templates, document management guidelines, and delivery methods. Materials include student guides, presentations, business process flows, work instructions, exercises, simulations, quick references, job aids, post-test, and instructor guides. u2022 Bring new ideas to help drive continuous improvement in our training program. u2022 Learn and utilize Agile methodology to develop and deliver training to end-users. u2022 Provide on-site and virtual user support (as necessary). Youu2019ll Bring These Qualifications: u2022 Bacheloru2019s degree (in Training/Development or related field) or equivalent. u2022 Proven experience delivering IT application training to small and/or large groups using Adult Learning Theory practices. u2022 Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office 365 to include MS Teams. u2022 Excellent communication and presentation skills with a focus on classroom management. u2022 Proficiency in Learning Management Systems (LMS) and virtual training tools (e.g. MS Teams). u2022 Ability to conduct training in the Chesapeake/Norfolk, Virginia area as well as aboard ships worldwide. u2022 Must be a U.S. Citizen with the ability to pass a background investigation. These Qualifications Would be Nice to Have: u2022 Experience with IT software training delivery working with Federal employees. u2022 Agile methodology- working on Agile development teams to deliver training to end users. u2022 Experience working with Military Sealift Command. u2022 Background in Human Resource Management systems training. u2022 Experience with Adobe Captivate to support online learning deliverables. u2022 Experience with HR functions and payroll management. u2022 Experience in Instructional Design and Adult Learning Theory. u2022 Professional Facilitation Training and/or Certificate. - What You Can Expect: A culture of integrity. Pay Range : There are a host of factors that can influence final salary including, but not limited to, geographic location, Federal Government contract labor categories and contract wage rates, relevant prior work experience, specific skills and competencies, education, and certifications.
