Lockheed Martin is looking for an energetic and high performing Systems Engineer to join the team in Denver/Boulder, CO. This position is in support of the Space Based Infrared Systems (SBIRS) SPICE program, responsible for performing intersegment testing between the mission control station and external users. You will interface with various USSF and Joint organizations and their supporting contractors and will define the scope of testing necessary to verify system and vehicle specifications. Key Responsibilities Include: u2022 Prepare for and participate in meetings, boards, and design reviews u2022 Perform technical planning, system integration and verification and validation u2022 Ensure the logical and systematic conversion of customer requirements are captured in contractual required documentation u2022 Assist program plan development to ensure requirements and statement of work are captured and scheduled - - - Important Details u2022 Successful candidate will have 1+ professional years of systems engineering experience u2022 Ability to work onsite full-time at our Boulder, CO facility u2022 Active Secret security clearance Basic Qualifications: u2022 Bachelors Degree in Engineering or related field; or equivalent work experience u2022 Systems engineering knowledge or experience with testing and problem solving for integrated systems u2022 Experience developing and executing test plans u2022 Active or Current Secret clearance with the ability to obtain and maintain a Top Secret clearance, thus US citizenship is required. Desired Skills: u2022 Experience with OPIR and/or SBIRS mission processing and vehicle pre-launch testing u2022 Ability to absorb extensive technical detail and logically formulate solutions for execution on an inflexible schedule, often requiring integration of conflicting and, at times, incomplete data u2022 Ability to interact with hardware and software developers to ensure mission requirements are satisfied u2022 Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications with strong presentation skills and capable of briefing audiences of varying technical knowledge u2022 Ability to operate in a dynamic environment and take on numerous roles as part of the daily program operations u2022 Excellent written and verbal communication skills, strong social skills, and ability to build consensus among peers while building solid relationships with team members u2022 Demonstrated behaviors of a systems thinker with the ability to select and apply appropriate systems thinking skills to solve problems and implement constructive change u2022 Experience with UNIX/LINUX Operating systems as well as familiarity and/or knowledge of DOORS and MBSE. u2022 Top Secret clearance or above Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration. Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits. Schedule for this Position: 9x80 every other Friday off Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in California, Massachusetts, and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New Jersey, Vermont, Washington or Washington DC is $73,400 - $129,260. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidateu2019s final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer. (Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays.
