JOB SUMMARY The Maintenance Mechanic is responsible for the operations and maintenance of the Utility Systems of the Hospital (DNH or NNH), to include the Electrical System, HVAC System, Domestic Water, Medical Gasses, Plumbing, Tub System, Emergency Power, and Fire Alarm. The Mechanic is also responsible for the maintenance and repair of non-clinical equipment to include beds and stretchers. Additionally, the mechanic is responsible for the upkeep of the building. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES - Other duties may be assigned. u2022 Assists in maintenance of Fire System. u2022 Maintains overhead paging. u2022 Maintain boiler. u2022 Maintains nurse call. u2022 Maintains tube system. u2022 Maintains medical gas. u2022 Lock out/tag out. u2022 Preventative maintenance. u2022 Maintains HVAC System. EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS u2022 Minimum of High School or GED required. u2022 Minimum of 6 months of related experience OR graduate from an HVAC/R Program required; 3 years of experience preferred in a building maintenance role. u2022 Intermediate computer knowledge: Uses Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and Windows.
